St Christies 10 TT

A good turn out on Tuesday for the Time Trial, mainly down to the fact the sun was out, though this was slightly deceptive as it was still baltic & still quite a stiff breeze.

First home for the Club was the ever improving Colin Bain who remarkably took almost a minute & a half off the previous one, don't forget that the previous one was 4 mins quicker!! Colin was 4th overall so a great performance.
Next up in 5th place with a 37 sec PB was myself in 27.13 - I am just coming off a running block into a biking block so looking to improve on this in the next couple of weeks.
Gareth had an excellent first run going sub 30 in 29.12. A slight uncertain moment on the course added a bit of time so hopefully sub 29 next time.
Graeme Allan went round in 31.15 - not his quickest this season but a good night should get him near to the 30 minute mark.
Frank Honings was also there for his first go at the course & having made it round the route successfully pulled in 10 metres short of the time & didn't record a time!! We think he was approx 33 mins. Just a teething problem that won't happen again I'm sure.
Ben was out on his new machine though unfortunately whilst speeding out of Auldhouse he somehow managed to flip his bike over a pot hole resulting in a smashed helmet, bleeding legs & arms & ripped clothes. Don't worry - he is ok, just a bit tender in places & most importantly he was back at work the next day.

Well done everyone.
Colin

I believe the EK to Stathaven road is being resurfaced this weekend (between the Crutherland Hotel and Flattmoss) so by next Tues we should all be able to go a wee bit quicker (certainly on that section).
