Guinness World Record Attempt to generate electricity .........

I work for a not for profit organisation and we are staging a Guinness World Record Attempt to generate electricity over a 24 hour period using 21 bicycles attached to a roller. The attempts run from 5pm on Friday 27th August to 5pm on Saturday 28th. The event is being held in Coalburn, South Lanarkshire.

According to the JogScotland you run a local club and I wondered in the spirit of health and fitness if you would support of our event and ask for your participation. Volunteers can cycle from any length of time as long as it is over a minute.

If you wouldn’t mind, would you put a link on to your website and/or mail your members to see if they would be interested and willing to taking part in our World Record Attempt as we would love for you to be involved.
On the 28th, we are having a Sustainable Saturday family fun day celebration and we will have numerous activities including healthy cooking demonstrations, massage therapies, dance mats and smoothie bike makers.
The aim of the event is to promote
· Awareness of sustainable issues like energy efficiency and renewable technologies
· To promote cycling and physical and mental well being
· Demonstrate what communities can achieve by working together.

We need as many participants as possible to make the event a success and would welcome any assistance your club could give.

Thank you in anticipation.

James Kane
