is that sunday the 21st
go on graeme you know you want to !

how flat is it ?

athelite said...

it is flat. it's up and down a dual carriageway. the only hill is off the main road to come back the otherside

so disc wheel on back and 1080 on the front then ?
need to buy a pointy hat anyway

i'll wait to see what the weather is like before I commit

Either that or just pedal harder?

Sounds like a good event. Unfortunately I'm away that weekend so I'll have to give it a miss.

well that is just not good enough Alan!

;-)

Leave your name if you fancy doing this and we can get you paired up...hopefully

i have lost 10 kilos and as such increased my power to weight ratio by 10% , current peak power 1197 watts and can average 400 over 1 hour on the powertap, this translates to an av speed of 29.365 mph on a 5% gradient (uphill with a 15mph headwind - computer modelling applied to windtunnel data / power analysis) .I have nifty new club gear which has no wrinkles to cause turbulence , aerosocks to decrease the drag from my shoe straps and have modified my wheels to accentuate flow and further decrease drag . My bike position has been optimised in the wind tunnel at glasgow uni . All that remains is a pointy hat and........ to pedal harder as you say and yes i have no work to do at the moment

I'm up for that as long as it is on a Sunday. If we can't find a suitable partner for me, I can get someone. I see Alan can't make it on that day.

athelite said...

I guess that is a yes,as look's like my coach is fitting it into the training plan which is kindly being done for me.
But what does all that technical stuff above mean!!! is it that i can draft for all 14 miles yippee!!!
also where you this morning for run

athelite said...

Graeme, that is exactly what it means....just tuck in and hang on for dear life!

Mrs J not well so guitar lessons for me this AM .Its my intention to tuck in and draft graeme for 7 miles at least dependent on pravailing wind . I had thought of getting a trail gaitor to attach to his bike but it wont fit an aero seatpost !

way too much technical speak for me!!! I thought this was to be for fun????
