Good fun in the snow for this mornings Sunday Run (with added Ho Ho Ho) for the 6 of us - a few people missing in action but slightly tricky in places on the roads. 45 minutes of running followed by 15 minutes of chocolates to take it up to the hour!!

Weekend Training (with added extra Ho Ho Ho)
Saturday 19th – Bike - it’s the final turbo session of 2009 so definitely not to be missed!!!! Last chance to burn some serious calories on your bike before the Christmas binge begins (if it hasn’t already!)!! It is upstairs in the Studio in the Hamilton Shop at 9.30am. Session will last approx 1hr - 1hr 15. Bring a turbo/rollers, fluids & a towel for mopping your sweaty brows. Oh, and a bike. And for the really hardy (aka “MAD”) there’s a run afterwards, so don’t forget your running shoes! If you are not quite so mad some of us will be doing some core exercises and stretches instead after the bike (in the comfort of the Studio)!!
Sunday 20th – Run - and if Saturday’s turbo session doesn’t seem like enough torture for one weekend, the long steady run (maybe not as long as usual) will start off from the rear entrance to Whitelees Wind Farm at the top of Ardochrig Road at 9am . This will be our ''Cracker of a Christmas Run'', so don’t forget your fancy dress!!! As ever it is forecast to be a chilly one (with a bit of sleet and possibly snow to give us that “festive feeling”) so make sure you wrap up warm with lots of layers……everyone welcome (so long as you are wearing a santa hat!)

Swim Chaos
Thanks to Jack for a crazy Christmas swim session last night - had us jumping through hoops - literally. Can barely raise my right arm this morning after being underwater in Big Gareths bear-like grip during the friendly no-rules water polo game. Also seem to still have water in my head after being cold-water hosed in the face whilst trying to swim! Great fun.

TriathlonScotland Rankings
Below are the Club ranking results for 2009. Thanks to Gareth who managed to rake in a ton of points for us!
I think for a wee club in it's first year we did fabulous. We are in the top 50%....whooppe
For 2010 we need a strategy to make sure we get into the top 10. I don't think this is unachievable as we only need to climb 6/7 places and what with Graeme's new found form for running, Gareth's new love for the water and me and Colin dropping to 5 days work I think we may be on to something!!
Also you need to make sure you enter all races under ATHelite Tri Club.

Sunday Run
Sunday 6th December - Long steady run. Meet at the rear entrance to Whitelees Wind Farm at the top of Ardochrig Road. This is a lovely scenic run which is off road so a nice change to pounding the concrete. There's various options for all levels of abilities so come and join us......As ever it is a 9am start!!!!
Colin – our resident weather man – has advised the forecast is to be dry but a bit on the chilly side at 3 degrees with a wind chill factor making it feel more like zero degrees!!!! So make sure you wrap up warm with lots of layers. That means it’s time (Graham and Don) to put those shorts away for the winter – as attractive as you both did look with the blue legs at the end of last week’s run!!! The good news is, the wind is not to be as fierce as last week so we should be able to enjoy the scenery without fighting a through an ever changing head wind!!!
